Supporting People with Learning Disabilities – Hospital Passports.

As many people may know, the term “Learning Disability (LD)” is used to describe a person who has developmental delay or intellectual disabilities, which are usually evident from birth or early childhood.

What fewer people may know, is that people with learning disabilities can have difficulty communicating and expressing needs and choices in a hospital environment.  Indeed, simply adjusting to this environment may be a challenge.

So to support this group, the hospital passport has been created!
